Economics for Teachers

A two-day conference designed to help teachers use the economic way
of thinking to help improve their teaching of U.S. government and history.


Hilton Milwaukee River

*Due to grant restrictions, this program is open to Milwaukee, Kenosha, Racine, Ozaukee, Washington and
Waukesha county high school teachers only and is limited to two teachers per school and 25 teachers total.

Presenters:

The sessions are conducted by talented, economics professors who specialize in communicating economic principles to people who do not have special training in economics. In addition to teaching at the university level, presenters have over 30 years of high school teaching experience.

Registration

Registration fee: Free! Includes continental breakfasts, breaks, lunches, wine and cheese reception and and three books.

Substitute Teachers Reimbursement: EconomicsWisconsin will reimburse your school for the cost of a substitute teacher for each teacher that attends

Teacher Scholarships: EconomicsWisconsin will provide each teacher with a $200 scholarship to cover any expenses and to partially compensate them for their time on Saturday.

Free Curriculum: Teachers attending the conference will receive free curriculum materials valued at $130.00. Curriculum to be distributed includes the following three books:

Focus: Understanding Economics in U.S. History

What Economics is About: Understanding the Basics of Our Economic System
